Privacy policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

At Fireprint Co., we make mugs, not data profiles. We only collect what we need to get your order to you, look after you if something goes wrong, and tell you about new glazes if you ask us to. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Fireprint Co. operates this store and website, fireprintco.com, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (the "Services"). Our store is powered by Shopify. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit, use or make a purchase through the Services, or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to your personal information.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how your information is collected, used and disclosed as described here.

The short version

  • We collect your contact, shipping and order details so we can fulfill and deliver your order.
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
  • We share only what's needed with the partners who help us run the store, ship your order and advertise.
  • We only send marketing emails or texts if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing contact@fireprintco.com.

Personal information we collect

"Personal information" means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. It does not include information that is collected anonymously or has been de-identified. Depending on how you use the Services and where you live, we may collect the following, including inferences drawn from it:

  • Contact details: your name, billing and shipping address, phone number and email address.
  • Payment information: payment card details, transaction details, form of payment and payment confirmation. Card details are handled by our payment processors, not stored by us.
  • Account information: if you create an account, your login details, preferences and settings.
  • Order information: the mugs and colors you view, add to your cart or buy, plus any returns, exchanges, store credit or guarantee claims.
  • Communications with us: the messages you send us, including photos you share when making a damage or guarantee claim.
  • Reviews: if you leave a review, your name or initials, rating, comments and any photos you choose to upload.
  • Device information: your device, browser, network connection, IP address and other unique identifiers.
  • Usage information: how and when you interact with the Services, such as pages visited and links clicked.

Where we get it

  • Directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, sign up for emails or texts, leave a review or contact us.
  • Automatically, from your device when you use the Services, through cookies and similar technologies.
  • From our service providers, when they collect or process information on our behalf, such as payment and shipping updates.
  • From our advertising and social media partners, such as when you interact with our ads on Facebook or Instagram.

How we use your information

  • To fulfill your order and run the Services. Processing payments, packing and shipping your mugs, sending order and shipping updates, handling guarantee claims, store credit and replacements, managing your account, and remembering your cart and preferences.
  • To improve the Services. Understanding which colors, pages and offers people like so we can make the store better.
  • For marketing and advertising. Sending you emails or texts if you have opted in, and showing you ads on other websites and social media, including ads based on items you viewed or added to your cart.
  • For security and fraud prevention. Verifying transactions, protecting your account, and detecting fraudulent orders or abuse of our guarantee.
  • To communicate with you. Answering your questions and giving you customer support.
  • For legal reasons. Complying with applicable law and valid legal requests, resolving disputes, and enforcing our terms and policies.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Shopify and our service providers, who help us run the store, including payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, email and text messaging, and product reviews.
  • Our fulfillment and shipping partners. Our mugs are packed and shipped by a fulfillment partner located outside the United States. To deliver your order, we share your name, shipping address, phone number and order details with them and with the carriers who deliver your package.
  • Advertising and marketing partners, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, to measure our ads and show you relevant advertising. We use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your online activity with different merchants and websites. These partners use your information according to their own privacy notices. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to tell us not to share your information for targeted advertising. You can opt out here.
  • When you ask us to, or otherwise consent, such as when you use social media sharing or login features.
  • With our affiliates, or within our corporate group, if any.
  • For legal and business reasons, such as in connection with a merger, sale or bankruptcy, to comply with legal obligations (including subpoenas and similar requests), to enforce our policies, and to protect our rights and the rights and safety of our customers and others.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the store is used, and measure and personalize our ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the store, like the cart, may not work properly without them.

Emails and text messages

We only send marketing emails if you sign up, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts at the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help at any time. Even if you opt out of marketing, we will still send messages about your orders, such as order confirmations and shipping updates.

Our relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit to the Services is transmitted to and shared with Shopify and with third parties that may be located in countries other than where you live. To help protect, grow and improve our business, we also use certain Shopify enhanced features that combine data from your interactions with our store, with other merchants and with Shopify. In these cases, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal information, including responding to your requests to exercise your rights over that use. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you can exercise certain rights through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Third party websites and links

The Services may link to websites or platforms run by others, such as social networks. We are not responsible for their privacy or security practices, so please review their policies. Anything you share publicly, such as a comment or post on social media, may be visible to others.

Children's data

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority where they live. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. As of the date of this policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "share" or "sell" (as those terms are defined in applicable law) personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, but no system is completely secure, and information sent over the internet may not be secure in transit. Please don't send sensitive information, like card numbers, by email.

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it to fulfill your orders, provide the Services, handle guarantee claims, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. These rights are not absolute and may apply only in certain circumstances. In some cases, we may decline a request as permitted by law.

  • Access / know: request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete: request that we delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Portability: request a copy of your personal information and, in some cases, its transfer to a third party.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising: depending on where you live, you may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, or its use for "targeted advertising," as defined by applicable law. You can opt out here. If you visit with the Global Privacy Control signal turned on, depending on where you are, we will treat it as an opt out request for that browser and device, and for your Shopify account if we can link it. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
  • Marketing preferences: unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, or reply STOP to any text.

To exercise your rights, email us at contact@fireprintco.com. To learn about rights related to data processed by Shopify, visit privacy.shopify.com.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. Before accepting it, we will ask the agent for proof that you authorized them, and we may need to verify your identity directly. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first and we'll do our best to resolve it. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision by contacting us, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International transfers

We may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country where you live, including where our fulfillment partner and service providers operate. If we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent contracts issued by the relevant UK authority, unless the transfer is to a country recognized as providing adequate protection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy here, change the "Last updated" date at the top, and give notice where required by law.
